omesticity turned divine, Sonya's inspiration derives from a love of working with people and reinventing the ordinary into something extraordinary. In publishing, Sonya has written two books, Beadalicious and Just for the Frill of It, both published by Random House. She has contributed innovative art projects to books and magazines, including: "Signature Styles" "Girlsworld Guide to Friendship Crafts", "Flowers that Wow", "The Beautiful Beaded Home", and "A Very Beaded Christmas", Altered Couture, Craft: magazine, and the LA Times.

In addition to her published work, Sonya co-hosted an episode of Deserving Design with Vern Yip on HGTV, designed the set and created all the crafts for a series of how-to projects for the internationally distributed craft series "Raven-Symone Presents", and toured as Michael's national spokesperson, where she demonstrated how brides could create the wedding of their dreams on network morning shows. She also represented Scholastic's Klutz line of books and craft kits as their "Chief Executive Crafter" and appeared on shopping networks for Provo Craft. Additionally she has mentored a young Texan for the award winning show "Faking It" on TLC. In 2004 Sonya was one of three finalists in the TODAY Show's search for its Domestic Diva. Sonya has appeared as a regular guest on television shows such as Soaptalk- SoapNet, Smart Solutions- HGTV, World at Your Table- Fine Living Network, and Craftlab- DIY Network as well as many other network news shows.

Beyond TV, Sonya has designed a table for the "Dining By Design" Elle D'ecor/Tatinger's fundraiser at the Design Institute Foundation's event benefit to fight AIDS and works regularly designing interiors for Anthropologie and making props for magazines and catalogs shoots. She also is artist-in-residence at UCLA's Family Commons where she teaches art classes to creative souls of all ages.
